For all of you who have ever taken a close look at Honda's Valkyrie, you know it's a BIG bike. Almost a hundred horsepower with as much torque, this is a machine that was made to run. Now Mustang, creator of some of the world's finest replacement saddles, has created a seat worthy of the big Honda.
We recently got hold of Mustang's Valkyrie replacement seat and fit it onto our salesman Kevin Quinn's ride. The first thing that impressed us about Mustang's Valkyrie Touring Seat was the ease of installation, it fit as well as the OEM seat, and it instantly added both character and flair to an already snazzy machine.
A full 17 " across, the rider has much more support and, according to Kevin, all day rides are no longer a serious pain in the butt, for him or his wife Lisa. Mustang seats are built on a marine grade fiberglass baseplate and use a unique internal support wing system that gives the Valkyrie Touring Seat plenty of lift and adds to that all-day ride comfort. In addition, the way Mustang designs this seat, the nose of the passenger pad extends forward to create a full 8" of back support for the rider. The pillion seat is also on the wide side, at 14", giving the passenger a much more comfortable ride and seating position. We also attached a matching Mustang Tank Bib and Passenger Seat Pad cover which added a nice touch and completed the new look.
As we said, the Mustang seat adds plenty to the already classic looks of Honda's big cruiser. In addition to the Vintage style that has a clean stock look, the seat is also available in a Studded style with either fringe or with studs and conchos.
